Syko Swinger is a simple game where you rotate a small comet in circles whilst avoiding obstacles. It’s pretty frustrating because the controls don’t feel the best but it did manage to grab a hold of the part of me wanting to compete with my friends for the high score.

There are a lot of trippy effects in the game that obscure the playing field. While it does look nice it isn’t the best in terms of design.

The game has simple aesthetics with trippy effects. It looks ok but I would definitely not play this game if you are prone to getting seizures. Also the graphical effects make it hard to make out where you exactly are on the playing field so it induces a small level of panic.

The music is a nice edm track and goes well with the game. The only problem is that the controls are flawed. You have to constantly be holding down the left mouse button and combined with the constant rotational movement, this game is pretty hard on your hands. A nice fix would be to require a click to start the game and then require no further input from the player other than the rotational movement.

When you first start playing the game, you will most likely go out of bounds immediately, ending the game. Some refinement in the controls would definitely improve the experience.

You also feel like you’re fighting the game to control the ball. It does work well when you’re playing well but as soon as you run into an obstacle it all falls apart. When you first start playing, the common experience will be having the comet spin immediately out of bounds and having to restart the game.

There is definitely some fun to be had playing the game if you can get over the frustrating controls

Overall, Syko Swinger is an ok game where some fun could be had by competing with friends. I just wish it controlled slightly better. There’s definitely a high level of frustration while playing.
