Shapez.io is an excellent puzzle game centered around designing production lines. It cuts out the more tedious elements such as having to worry about power usage and build cost and focuses solely on the element of design.

The game starts off very simple but scales in complexity as it requires you to do multiple things such as color and cut shapes.

The game is objectively simple at first glance. Your goal is to harvest a certain shape and deliver it to the main zone. The game adds many layers of complexity by requiring you to cut certain shapes and add color to them. There’s only really one limitation in the game and that is space. The limited space, even with the map being very large, for later levels requires some out of the box thinking to fit everything into place.

The game is very well designed and relaxing to play. There are no time constraints so you can take your time designing, experimenting, and building your production lines. You do have to meet a certain quota of shapes delivered however so if your production lines are very slow, you’ll be waiting a very long time for the level to finish.

The map is incredibly large but space still remains the only real constraint in designing your production lines.

Overall, Shapez.io is one of the best puzzle games centered around production line design I have played so far. Its minimal approach in the aesthetics, design, and user interface create a very focused game. The laid back approach also makes it relatively stress free. This sort of game definitely isn’t for everyone but if you love puzzle games or production line design, this one is definitely worth trying out!
