Crowalt: Traces of the Lost Colony is a point and click adventure game with some very quaint graphics that resemble something someone would draw in MS Paint. The demo sets the main premise of the game. You are an adventurer on a quest to search for the lost colony of Roanoke. You land at the town of Crowalt to start your quest.

The Crowalt demo has some staple features of point and click adventure games. You steal and hoard every single item that isn’t nailed down (unless you can remove the nails). And then you use them to solve puzzles, sometimes by combining multiple items into a seemingly random invention through some rather questionable leaps of logic.

The game also has something I rarely see in point and click games, mini games. The demo featured two mini games. One was serving watered down beer to customers, so light beer I guess, and the other one was playing five finger fillet. It did change up the pacing of the game and introduce something new for players to do in between clicking on things furiously to solve puzzles and talking to people.
Overall, the demo for Crowalt Traces of the Lost Colony seems like a solid point and click adventure game. The quaint graphics work. The puzzles are pretty straight forward and fun to solve. The mini games add a little bit of dimension to the game. The only flaw in my opinion was that the dialogue was a bit awkward at some points. Other than that, Crowalt is shaping up to be a decent game from what I played in the demo.
