Out of Space is a frantic indie multiplayer action puzzle game in the same vein as Overcooked and Tools Up. Players take control of a colorful character and head onto a ship to clean and re-power the rooms before alien slugs take over.
There is local co-op as well as online matchmaking. However, either due to the player base being small or matchmaking servers not being optimized, I did experience a hard time getting matched with other live players online. I played solo for most of my play through.

The player starts off on the staging area of a ship (small, medium, or large) and the main goal is to slowly make your way through the ship, cleaning and organizing rooms until all the rooms are powered.
Throughout your session, you will have to manage your hunger and sleep meters by eating pumpkins or cooked aliens, and using chairs, couches, beds, and even the floor to regain your sleep meter.

All through this hectic and frantic action, the aliens add even more chaos to the mix by making rooms, furniture, and doors they come into contact with contaminated. You can clean the contamination by using a broom to sweep the floor, or throw a bucket of water on everything. You do unlock more advanced devices, such as an automated cleaning robot, as you progress in the game by working towards certain achievements.

All is not lost as you do have a way to fight back against the aliens. You can render the slugs unconscious by knocking them with the broom and then dispose of them by throwing them off the ship or by grinding them up in the recycler. This is kind of morbid if you think about it, but on the other hand, yay recycling! \o/

Recycling garbage bags formed by sweeping the floors of contamination or recycling the unconscious slugs reward you with currency which you can spend on the shop. You can buy batteries to power the rooms or other items to make the game session more convenient, like the previously mentioned automated cleaning robot, or rugs to prevent the floors from being contaminated.

Once you powered all the rooms, you will have won the map, but be cautious as mismanaging meters or losing track of contaminated doors may lead to slugs spawning at the worst possible moment and destroying active batteries. One can never get too comfortable in the world of Out of Space, because in space, no one can hear you clean. (Lame pun, I know).
