What is up Temtem tamers. Ducky Obrien here and here is a short guide on how to get the surfboard.
You obtain the surfboard by defeating Sophia, the Dojo leader in Arissola. In order to fight Sophia, you need to free her from a dungeon in the Windward Fort. The Windward Fort is located at the top most area of Deniz, the first island, as shown below. You obtain the key by defeating Lady Lottie at the top of the Windward Fort. After freeing Sophia, you can battle her back in Arissola and defeat her to get your very own surfboard. Arrisola is located below the Windward Fort and the Gifted Bridges, as shown below.
For battling tips, here is Lady Lottie and Sophia’s team composition.
As you can see both of them rely heavily on wind and water types. A team comprised of a couple Ganki’s around level 20 will have an easier time defeating both of these opponents. Ganki can easily be found at the Thalassian Cliffs or the Windward Fort. This area shown below at the Thalasian Cliffs will have a Ganki spawn rate of 100% ranging from lvl 5 to lvl 8. The top of the Windward Fort will have a Ganki spawn rate of 95% ranging from lvl 12 to lvl 14. Ganki is an electric and wind type and learns DC Beam at level 7 and Chain Lightning at level 16. Ganki’s electric attacks will do 4 times the damage against Barnshe.
